Baltimore Child Abuse Center is committed to serving children and families in the Baltimore area whose lives have been affected by child sexual abuse. Rev. Murray serves on the Board of Directors.
The Center for Progressive Renewal
The mission of The Center for Progressive Renewal is to renew Progressive Christianity by training new entrepreneurial leaders, supporting the birth of new liberal/progressive congregations, and by renewing and strengthening existing progressive churches.
Chesapeake Association/CAC/UCC
The Chesapeake Association covers Central Maryland including, Baltimore City and Baltimore, Howard, Anne Arundel and Hartford Counties. We also have three churches in Delaware.
Central Atlantic Conference/ United Church of Christ
The Central Atlantic Conference includes 185 United Church of Christ congregations in the Mid-Atlantic region, covering New Jersey, Delaware, Maryland, the District of Columbia and parts of Virginia and West Virginia. It includes 40,000 local church members and approximately 400 ordained ministers.
New Covenant UCC maintains it’s “covenant” with the United Church of Christ, a denomination of 5,600 churches and 1.2 million members. The UCC is progressive in it’s approach to living out God’s mandates in the present age, determined to exact social justice in this world, and extravagant in it’s welcome for all people. One of the UCC’s core messages is…”Jesus didn’t turn people away. Neither do we”.
